Some safely recommendations for you to stay safe and enjoy your candle experience & to get the most out of your Beeswax candles, please take note of the following.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Keep candles out of reach from kids and pets
- Keep a distance between candles and any other objects
- Keep candles away from anything flammable
- Place candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface
- Before each burn we recommend you remove any old char from your wood wick with a tissue or your fingertip, be careful not to drop char into the wax as it will turn discolour.
- Burn candles only in a draft free environment away from open windows, ducts fans etc.
- A snuffer is recommended to extinguish your candle flame, avoid blowing it out
- Avoid handling the wick after it is cooled as it may break
- A melt pool is recommended when burning your beeswax candle jar for the first time. Depending on the size of the candle it may take up to 1-2 hours, you want to achieve a burn that will melt to the edge. By burning your candle correctly the first time will determine the longevity of your candle and prevent tunneling.
- Candles should not be burned more then 2-3 hours at a time. if your candle starts to create soot the wick is too long. Blow out and cut shorter.
- Our Bees wax candles with wood wicks will burn slightly higher for the first 1/2 hr or so as the heat penetrates into the beez wax an then the flame will calm down.
- 300g. approx 35hrs burn time, if the first burn was done correctly.
